We sell handmade paper goods, stationery and calligraphy services through this website and are not involved or interested in selling, trading or renting your data with other companies for marketing purpose. This privacy policy details how, why and when we collect your personal data and how it is used to make your experience on our website a pleasant one. SECTION 1 – HOW AND WHEN WE COLLECT YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

When you purchase something from our store, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address.
When you browse our store, we also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system.

COOKIES
Since our Website is hosted on Squarespace, you might want to check out their cookie policy as well to better understand how cookies are used. But in a nutshell, a cookie is a piece of data stored on a site visitor's hard drive to help us improve your access to our site and identify repeat visitors to our site. For instance, when we use a cookie to identify you, you would not have to log in a password more than once, thereby saving time while on our site. MAKING A PURCHASE
When you purchase our handmade paper products, you have the option to pay with a credit card or through your paypal account.

Credit Card Payment Processing Through Stripe

If you choose to pay with a credit card, your transaction will be processed by the online e-commerce platform we use to sell our products which is provided by Squarespace and/or their affiliated e-commerce platform Stripe, Inc., a third-party processing service (stripe.com) that allows us to accept your payment online through credit or debit card processing.

Your credit data, such as the name on the credit card, the date of expiry, the CVC code and the billing address associated with the credit card,  may be stored through Squarespace's and/or Stripe's data storage, databases, and the general Squarespace or Stripe application. 
Upon choosing a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, Stripe may store your credit card data.  According to the information available to us, the data you provide through our website for payments is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS).  Your purchase transaction data should only be stored for as long as required to complete the transaction and deleted thereafter.  
PCI-DSS requirements are designed to help in ensuring the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers. Payment gateways are required to adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council.

Making a purchase through your PayPal account

If you prefer to pay with your PayPal account, you will be redirected to the PayPal API integrated with our website to allow you to log in to your PayPal account and continue your purchase. You can have a look at the PayPal Privacy Policy here.

INFORMATION FOR SHIPPING THE HANDMADE PAPER GOODS YOU PURCHASE

During the course of making a purchase on our website, you will be required to provide your name and mailing address. You will also be asked to provide your email address so we can send you alerts relevant to your order, such as status of shipping, estimated delivery times etc. We don’t use your email address for any purpose other than to keep you informed of the status of your order unless you have signed up for our mailing list. We also share your email address and shipping address with Shipstation.com, our preferred provider of shipping services. Any data we share with Shipstation.com is only for the purpose of performing our business obligations to you as a customer and are not intended for marketing purposes. EMAIL MARKETING:

With your permission, we may send you emails about our store, new products and other updates using MailChimp integration on our website. We encourage you to read through MailChimp’s Privacy Policy to understand how they secure and process your data. The option to subscribe to our mailing list is clearly marked on our website and only comes up during the process of placing an order. We don’t use pre checked boxes to include you in our mailing list without your express consent and have a double opt-in feature whereby even if you do consent to joining our mailing list, we will send ask you to confirm your consent just in case you would like to reconsider your choice.

How do you get my consent?
When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange for a delivery or return a purchase, we imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only.
If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, like marketing, we will either ask you directly for your expressed consent, or provide you with an opportunity to say no.
